2 cups white sugar 1 cup Forty to One maple syrup 1/2 cup Half and Half cream 2 tablespoons corn syrup 1 teaspoon vanilla 1 tablespoon butter 1 cup chopped walnuts
Place sugar, syrup, and half and half in a large heavy saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until 238 degrees. Drop in butter, DO NOT STIR. Cool to 110 degrees and add vanilla, beat with spoon until it loses the gloss and holds its shape. Add nuts. Put into a buttered 8x8 pan. Cool, cut into 1" pieces.
